- Fishing is open daily 9:00 am to sunset.
- A fishing license is not required.
- Trout may be stocked periodically.
- You may keep 8 Bluegills and 4 Crappies.
- If you catch a Trophy Fish, send us the picture, we will post on website.
- Must exit Park by sunset.
- Park access to fishermen and their escorts only.
- Online bookings accepted only, no cash payments.
- Passes are for one person.
- Season Passes are non-transferable, valid only for the individual passholder or family and may not be shared.
- Live baits are allowed.
- Kayaks, canoes and lightweight portable boats are allowed only as long as you can hand-carry them to the pier in front of the house. No launching boats from shoreline. Life Jacket while on a boat is mandatory. Electric engines are allowed only. Boats can be unloaded on driveway close to pier.
- Paddle boards and inflatable boats are not allowed.
- Please do not let your kids remove stones from shorelines nor walk across waterfalls.
- Picnicking is allowed.
- Smoking is allowed, do not throw cigarette butts in the water or grounds.
- No swimming.
- Porta Potty, Potable water Spigot and Trash Cans near parking lot.
- No access to house or immediate surroundings.
- Gate entry code will show on your booking confirmation.
- When exiting, if gate does not automatically open, please use gate keypad again.
There is no inclement weather refund. Please call to reschedule to another day of your choice at no additional charge.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
For non-swimmers, we recommend that everyone wear a flotation belt at all times while fishing. You may slip and fall into the water, be safe don't take a chance. Flotation belts are available at the park for you to use for the day free of charge, call 815-3887776.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Are you open to the public? You need to make a booking online.
- Can I just visit park without fishing? Park is open to fishing anglers only, or to people accompanying a fishing person.
- When does fishing season opens and closes? Season opens in March when waters are ice-free and closes when lake and ponds are frozen.
- Do I need a fishing license? No, this is a private property; a fishing license is not required.
- There is a gate at the entrance of park, how do I enter? After booking online, you will receive a payment confirmation indicating the entry gate code.
- How do I exit park? When approaching the gate, it will open automatically. If gate does not open, use gate code again.
- Can I leave park and come back the same day? Yes, you may exit park anytime and come back the same day by using the gate code.
- Where do I park my vehicle? Follow the parking sign and park in the designated area.
- There are swans around, do I need to worry? Do not worry; Trumpeter swans are not aggressive nor will bother you.
- Can I keep some fish? You may keep 8 Bluegills and 4 Crappies.
- Can I fish with more than 1 fishing pole? Yes, as many as you like.
- Will I catch big fish? There are plenty of big fish. Depending on the season, luck, weather, time of the day and your fishing skills, you will catch big and small fish.
- Is there Potable Water? Yes, near parking lot.
- Is there a bait shop? No, there is no bait shop.
- Can I fish with live baits? Yes, you can use live baits other than goldfish.
- Are there boats for rent? No, there is no boat rental; you may bring a canoe, kayak or any lightweight boat that you can hand carry to the pier. Electric engines are allowed. You may unload your boat on the road in front of pier.
- Where do I launch my boat? Boats must be launched on the pier in front of the House.
- Do I need to wear a life jacket on the boat? Yes, while on a boat wearing a life jacket is mandatory.
- Is there a shelter? No, there is no shelter in the park.
- Are there restrooms? Yes, there is a porta potty near parking lot.
- Can I bring my dog? No, pets of any kind are not permitted. There are swans and other birds in the park. We like to keep wildlife disturbances to a minimum.
- Can I have a picnic? Yes, there are picnic table in the park.
- Can I bring a grill to cook? Yes, you may use a grill. Trash must be removed.
- Is it safe to fish from shoreline? Where banks are steep, fish from the grassy areas to avoid falling into water.
- Can I swim or enter water? Swimming is prohibited. Do not enter water; shoreline in some areas is steep and slippery.
- How deep is lake and ponds? It varies, from 5' to 18' deep.
- Is smoking allowed? Yes, you may smoke; do not throw cigarette butts in the water and grounds.
- Can I drink alcohol? No, alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Can I remove stones from shorelines? No, do not remove any stones.
- Do you offer refunds? No, if you want to reschedule your Fishing Day Pass date because of personal reasons or inclement weather, you can come another day of your choice at no charge.
